The Technion Alumni Liaison Office was established in order to serve Technion alumni by fostering their ties both to the Technion and to each other, and to increase their involvement in Technion life following graduation.
The Technion Alumni Liaison Office keeps its alumni informed about the latest news in the areas of research and development in their respective fields of interest. The Alumni Office helps graduates stay in touch with classmates and enables them to meet professional peers, as well as new and sought-after Technion alumni.
The Alumni Liaison Office has a database containing the details of more than 37,000 alumni in Israel and abroad. This sizable database, unique in Israel, allows alumni to locate and contact each other as well as to stay in touch with their faculties. In addition, the database serves as a statistical data source on the integration of alumni in the workforce and the economy, and for the advancement of Israeli industry.
The goal of the Alumni Liaison Office is to give concrete expression to the Institute's desire to incorporate all of its graduates into the Technion family. The Office organizes approximately a dozen annual class reunions for alumni from the various faculties. The Technion is in its 84th Year. Thousands of alumni participated in its 75th reunion – a two-day celebration, held on campus.
The alumni database, managed by the Alumni Liaison Office, contains personal data as well as information about places of work, fields of expertise, and positions in the workplace. This database allows retrieval of information by different segments for use in statistical research designed to further common objectives. In order to reach the maximum number of alumni the Office is making great efforts to expand its email address list – a major channel for advanced contact with alumni.
