SciTech: July - August

The world famous Technion, Israel’s Institute of Science and Technology, has come to play a central role in the development of the State of Israel, responsible for ground breaking developments that are changing people’s lives around the world. In 2004, two distinguished Technion professors became the first Israelis to win a Nobel Prize for science. Their research has led to new approaches into cancer, cystic fibrosis, immunological disfunction and neurodegenerative disorders.
The SciTech programme is from July to August and is intended for secondary school students from years 11 - 13, who are able to demonstrate an exceptionl interest and ability in science and technology.   Students combine scientific research with a summer programme of cultural and social activities.

The British Technion Society provides a number of bursaries for the programme.  Each bursary can provide up to £1500 of the total cost of the SciTech programme.  For further information please contact the office on 020 7495 6824.

Study projects are conducted in Technion’s faculties making use of world-class research facilities. This is a magnificent opportunity to make new friends from around the world and to explore the many facets of Israeli society and history. It is also an impressive addition to a student’s career history when applying for further education.

The British Technion Society looks forward to welcoming successful students onto the SciTech Programme. We wish all applicants every success and we will help wherever we can to facilitate entry to this prestigious scheme.
