BRITISH TECHNION SOCIETY. student exchange programme
Student exchange programme

The British Technion Society supports the exchange of students between the Technion and leading British universities.

For some years the Coleman-Cohen, Churchill College/Technion Exchange Programme has been in operation between the Technion and Churchill College, Cambridge.

It is now intended to extend the exchange programme to include leading British universities. The exchange programme will be of particular interest to Post-Doctoral Fellows.

A Technion competition for Post-Doctoral fellowships at leading British Universities and the Technion will take place.  The awardees will be British Post-Doctoral fellows coming to the Technion, and Technion Post-Doctoral Fellows going to Britain.  An appropriate Technion Senate Committee will choose the successful applicants.

The fellowship will be named the Coleman-Cohen Fellowship.

In general, a Post-Doctorate fellow will be a student-trainee during the first five years after receiving a Doctorate degree.  Post-Doctorate studies will be conducted with the association of an academic staff member at a leading British University or at the Technion.

Mutual visits of faculty members will be supported in order to conduct research, present talks and seminars series.  The programme will pay travel and living expenses during visits.
